Terms and Conditions for ImpulseDrive Driving School
Welcome to ImpulseDrive Driving School. By enrolling in our driving courses, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. These terms outline our policies and serve as a contract between ImpulseDrive and our clients.
1. Eligibility for Lessons
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 17 years old to commence driving lessons. Individuals aged 16 or over receiving the higher rate of Disability Living Allowance (mobility component) are also eligible.
- Driving Licence: A valid UK provisional driving licence is mandatory. You must present this licence to your instructor at the start of your first lesson. Failure to do so may result in the lesson being canceled, and you may still be charged.
2. Fitness to Drive
- Health Conditions: You must be medically fit to drive. Inform your instructor of any medical conditions or medications that may affect your driving ability. Your instructor reserves the right to cancel a lesson if you are deemed unfit to drive due to health reasons, alcohol, drugs, or fatigue.
3. Payments and Fees
- Lesson Payments: Payments must be made in advance or at the start of each lesson, as agreed with your instructor. Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, or credit/debit card.
- Block Bookings: Discounts may be available for block bookings. These must be paid in full at the time of booking and are valid for six months from the date of purchase.
- Course Fees: Course fees are non-transferable. Any changes to the course structure, timings, or content may incur additional costs, which will be communicated in advance.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Notice Period: A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in the full lesson fee being charged.
- Instructor Cancellations: Instructors will endeavor to provide at least 48 hours' notice if they need to cancel or reschedule a lesson. In unforeseen circumstances, such as vehicle breakdowns or adverse weather, lessons may be canceled at short notice, and alternative arrangements will be made.
5. Driving Tests
- Test Bookings: Your instructor will advise when you are ready to book your practical driving test. It is your responsibility to book the test through the official channels. ImpulseDrive is not liable for any delays or cancellations by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
- Use of Vehicle: The use of the driving school vehicle for the test is subject to instructor approval and vehicle availability. Additional fees may apply.
6. Insurance and Liability
- Insurance Coverage: ImpulseDrive vehicles are fully insured for tuition and driving tests. This insurance does not cover unauthorized use of the vehicle.
- Liability Limitations: ImpulseDrive and its instructors are not liable for any loss or damage caused where there is no breach of legal duty owed to you. This includes losses relating to any business interests, such as lost profits or earnings.
7. Code of Conduct
- Punctuality: Please arrive on time for your lessons. Late arrivals may result in reduced lesson time, and the full lesson fee will still apply.
- Behavior: Respectful behavior towards instructors and adherence to their guidance is expected at all times. Inappropriate behavior may result in termination of lessons without refund.
8. Data Protection
- Personal Information: Your personal data will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Information will be used solely for the purpose of providing driving tuition and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
9. Complaints Procedure
- Raising Concerns: If you have any concerns or complaints about any part of your driving tuition, please contact us at [ImpulseDrive Contact Number] or [ImpulseDrive Email Address]. You should endeavor to resolve any issues with your instructor immediately.
10. Amendments to Terms
- Changes: ImpulseDrive reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Any changes will be communicated to you in advance.
